Valleywide Pumping
Data for 1920 through 1972 from Lamonte (1972). Data for 1973 - 2003 provided by Inyo County Water Department. Danskin (1998) estimated 75,000 af as a maximum average volume of pumping which would provide adequate water for vegetation as mapped in the 1984-1987 LTWA baseline period. Danskin's estimate included flowing artesian wells. The figure of 70,000 used above is derived by decrementing the estimated volume of artesian flow from Danskin's 75,000 af.
